Anasua Basu Ray Chaudhury

Anasua Basu Ray Chaudhury is Senior Fellow with ORF’s Neighbourhood Initiative. She is the Editor, ORF Bangla. She specialises in regional and sub-regional cooperation in South Asia, energy politics, forced migration and women in conflict zones.

Anasua was the Visiting Fellow (2012) at The Maison des Sciences de I'Homme, Paris , where she work on the subject “Logistics of Regional Integration in Europe and Question of Sovereignty.” As the recipient of the Public Service Broadcasting Trust Senior Media Fellowship (2007), Anasua produced a paper — Vernacular Dailies and the Ethnic and/or Religious Stereotypes in the Time of Violence. She received the Kodikara Award from the Regional Centre for Strategic Studies (RCSS), Colombo in 1998-99. She is also the author of the paper — The Energy Crisis and Sub-regional Cooperation in South Asia — published by RCSS as Policy Studies 13. Anasua is also trained in Thematic Protection Learning Programme on Statelessness organized by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), Geneva.
