Dewi de Weerdt
Dewi de Weerdt is a postgraduate student at the University of Essex, pursuing their degree in Human Rights Theory and Practice. Their research takes an interdisciplinary approach, focusing on Business and Human Rights, particularly in relation to extractive industries, artificial intelligence and corporate influence in international public policy.
Additionally, Dewi works as an OSINT-researcher for Amnesty International through the Essex Digital Verification Unit and has worked with the Essex Human Rights Clinic on research supporting the United Nations Office of the Special Coordinator on Improving the UN Response to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OSCSEA). They are currently collaborating with Survival International, conducting socio-legal research into the rights of Uncontacted Tribes.
