Michael Horowitz
Michael specialises in geopolitical and security risk management with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa. With more than 10 years of experience in the field he has held various related analyst, management, and security positions over the past several years. Michael served as the head of Le Beck International’s Intelligence branch, which provides geopolitical and security services to governments, NGOs and global corporations, and is now the Strategic Insights lead at Vinesight, a company focused on threats in the information space.
Michael began his career in this field after completing degrees in International Affairs at Science Po (IEP Paris) and an M.S. in Management in HEC, Europe’s leading business school. Michael brings his knowledge of the MENA region and the field of risk management as well as his sources gathered during his years of experience as an analyst that involved developing contacts across the region.
Michael is also the author of a book “Hope and Despair: Israel’s future in the new Middle East”, as well as a regular columnist at Majalla, a Middle-East-focused foreign policy magazine. Michael’s commentary and analysis can also be found in multiple international and regional outlets, including major publications such as The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, BBC, AP, AFP, NBC, CNN, The Times, Le Figaro, BILD etc. Michael’s work has also served as a basis for discussions in the US Congress, and was published by the British military’s think tank amongst others.
