In the past, Srijan has worked as an analyst for BowerGroupAsia and as a foreign affairs journalist for ThePrint. His work has been published in Hindustan Times, The Diplomat, 9DashLine, The Telegraph, The India Forum, Columbia Journal of International Affairs, Yale Journal of International Affairs, among others.
