Steve Maximay

Steve Maximay is the Managing Director of Science-based Initiatives, and the Trademark Owner/Licensor of the Climate-Smart Agriculture Compliant (C-SAC) tool and label. He has over 25 years of Caribbean and international experience in agricultural development, with his later career focusing on climate-smart agriculture, climate finance, and climate justice. He has tremendous experience in development finance from his tenure with the Agricultural Development Bank of Trinidad and Tobago. A World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) consultant, he has promoted IP solutions in agriculture. He holds a BSc in General Agriculture and an M.Phil. in Plant Pathology, both from the University of the West Indies.
