Niven Winchester, Non-Resident Senior Fellow

Niven Winchester is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at ORF Middle East. His research focuses on policy analysis using computable general equilibrium models. He has used these techniques to assist governments in several countries in developing strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In 2026, he was inducted into the Global Trade Analysis Project Research Fellow Hall of Fame.

Niven is also an Adjunct Professor at Auckland University of Technology and Co-Editor of the Journal of Global Economic Analysis. He was previously a Principal Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Senior Knowledge Expert at McKinsey & Company.
