Kamyar Kayvanfar

Kamyar Kayvanfar is a native Persian and English-speaking communications and public affairs professional with experience at EY and KREAB. At KREAB, he worked on EU's financial regulation, sustainable finance and public affairs, while supporting EY projects for the European Commission’s DG GROW.

His professional background includes monitoring political and economic developments, drafting executive briefs, conducting policy research and supporting advocacy strategies on EU policy. He also serves as an expert speaker and contributor at the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), providing analysis on Middle Eastern and geopolitical affairs.

Kamyar is a member of Chatham House’s Common Futures Conversations, a global community connecting emerging leaders and young professionals engaged in international affairs and policy discussions.

His academic research has focused on Middle Eastern affairs, including asymmetric warfare in the Syrian Civil War, as well as European lobbying, governance and public policy. He holds two master’s degrees in European Public Affairs from Maastricht University and European Studies from KU Leuven, alongside a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Essex.
